Green light for 4,500 homes in South Cambridgeshire after four-year stall

Complaint from Enviroment Agency put scheme on back burner in January 2021

South Cambridgeshire District Council has approved up to 4,500 homes for a new neighbourhood north of the village of Waterbeach.

Plans for Waterbeach New Town East include 30% affordable housing, a 20-acre country park, one secondary school, two primary schools and a sixth-form centre.
