London mayor calls in another student resi scheme

Sadiq Khan has called in two student accommodation-led schemes after Islington and Westminster indicated their intentions to reject the respective schemes.

The mayor of London wrote to the councils at the end of last month to tell them he would be exercising powers to make himself the planning authority for the Baltic Wharf scheme in Paddington and the Archway Campus scheme in north London.
